I hate talking and driving and only do it rarely. texting while driving (and pooping) I have been guilty of more than a few times.

Today my parents have that pot displayed in a bathroom at their house, a monument to their tyranny.

when i was a kid and my family would go on road trips (which we did a lot), my parents would make my sister and brother and I pee in a pot in the moving car when they didn't want to stop. It was the pee pot. It was blue with white paint specks on it. I don't remember any mistakes but do you know how hard it is for an 8 year old girl to pee in a pot while in a car that's whizzing* down the road at 70mph? The thought of it haunts me still....

i find that hard to believe because:A few years ago, I was talking to shrink who was taking part in a study that concluded that: People that talk (this is before texting was so big) on phones while driving are far more distracted than those that have been drinking. Russian Roulette with a cell phone and a Dodge Neon. AWESOME.
1: if i am driving with others in the car, i can talk to them no problem
2: i drive with one hand 90% of the time anyways
3: if i'm driving drunk i have to put a hand over one eye so there aren't multiple intersecting lines on the road, meaning i'm driving drunk, one handed, and one eyed, and probably trying to put on some really awesome song at the same time
i don't really see how putting a cellphone in that empty hand ups my distraction to beyond drunk levels. maybe it's the cell phone radiation affecting the brain, who knows.
i have become nearly an expert at driving with my knees, and i think i've scared people because of that more than anyone's ever scared me from texting.

-trunkspaceAll the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

I've seen people on phones driver slower, swerve, and break unnecessarily. Also they aren't listening to the road and their peripheral vision is impaired on the phone side of their head. I've noticed a few time a few people that have ended their call that their driving improves.

Mythbusters did a segment that proved the same thing.
Phones are more dangerous than alcohol behind the wheel.
And, well, I don't drink and drive anymore. Now I'm sober and I rage against people who talk on the phone while driving.
Go me.
