um my ipod seems to be frozen, it is not in the lock position
non of the buttons will do anything?
i tried to sync it but still nothing, won't even go into sync mode
am i screwed?
can anyone help me

I don't know much about supporting Ipods but my suggestion would be to let the battery run out to force a shutdown, then recharge. If not I'm sure there is some support forum out there for Ipods.

i think you can reset it somehow, you'll lose all your music on there though.
i'm too lazy to look up any instructions on how to do that...sorry

they would have told you to do just that..and then charged you 30$ for somthing that is in the instructions and trouble shooting guide.
