Hi,
So my Mac hard drive is officially dead, but I am going to have it replaced and reloaded w/ software and all that crap.
Anyway, I don't know anything about drives or their quality.
I know there are a lot of tech heads on this board.
If anyone has an opinion, please provide it.
I will be getting a 2.5 inch drive for an ibook g4 w/ a 12 inch monitor.
This is the page that I was told has some appropriate drives on it.
http://www.newegg.co.....name=5400 RPM
Or, if anyone knows a good site that does reviews, let me know.
Thanks,
JRC

Give me a nerdy vest-type any day!
Which is exactly like to TWO guys I have found to put my humpty dumpty back together.
I am getting an 80 gig Seagate drive, which was recommended by several people.
I also decided to upgrade the RAM, so I can watch band video's in a proper streaming fashion and not take a nap when working in Garage Band.

haha!
all things break...even Macs...but i bet if you pulled out the hard drive it doesn't say MAC on it...I heard they use western digital or something like that. Besides...if it is a disc hard drive they all eventually fail. Only the flash based drives seems to last potentially forever.

I am picking up the Seagate Drive from Frys after work today.
I wish there were flash based computers on the market now, affordable ones that is.

i thought moto were sinking fast, but just look at the rapid slump in SEs market share figures - from 7.9 to 6.3 in one quarter
samsung are now where moto were during when the RAZR was popular, and are half of what nokia is now. LG have also gone up significantly.
watch out nokia, the koreans are coming for you
