well, almost anyway.

I woke up late last night, maybe an hour after I went to bed... turns out my wife's cat had caught a mouse and had brought it to us. The mouse was running up my leg and trying to hide in my boxer shorts, I wasn't awake enough to deal with the situation. Flipped out pretty comically, ended falling off the side of the bed and landing on my butt and wife screamed & flew off the other side of the bed- and the mouse somehow ended up under a dresser and the cat freaked too (couldn't understand what all the fuss was about).

Then I had to wake up enough to catch and get rid of the mouse.

Everytime the cat jumped on the bed I woke up wide awake. Shit. Sometimes I hate pets.

Putting out a couple traps today.

Emperors of Japan

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

That is funny.

My dog thought it would nice to bring me a dove Sunday morning. It wasn't even my birthday! So gross.

Yeah, if any of you are reading this and thinking you'd have kept your cool... I call your bluff. Didn't take long before I was laughing about it, but there was some serious panic in those first few seconds :-)

People don't give a shit, unless it affects them personally, this affects me personally!

Yeah this is one reason I won't get a cat. It's bad enough I had to chase the dog through the back yard, in the rain to get a pigeon out of his mouth. He caught it and wasn't giving up that prize to easily. ewwwww.

best pest control you can have... teh kittehs. Mine are awesome at it. I can just point to something and say "get the buggy" and they gobble it up. I've even seen them torture and tear apart scorpions. Bad ass kittehs. Kittehs 4, scorpions 0!

Yesterday at TS, Noodle totally grabbed a mouse from under the coffee cart.
. . . I didn't even know we had a mouse.
I thought he was going after a roach or some bug.
He squeezed his fat butt under the counter, and came out the other side w/a foot dangling from his mouth.

I was sorta grossed out and sad, but kinda proud for him too.
Mostly I just wanted him to leave before any of the visitors saw him.

He looked like a kid in his first day of middle school w/ a full cafeteria, ummm . . . okay its full, where do I go eat, I don't know anybody . . .

I need my cats to have a talk with yours. Cats 0 Scorpions 3.

I've tried pleading - they just meow, grounding - they don't really do anything for me to take away, and yelling - they fail to comprehend "I'm in trouble".

I used to have a cat that played with the scorpions in my old scorpion infested apartment, too. He would toy with\torture them, make the scorpions sting themselves, and then eat them!
