Im driving about an hour to work now.
I was thinking that it seems far because alot of my drive is throught the desert but, I figure that an hour commute is normal.
I hate that I have to drive this far to work. I hate that I rely on a car at all but thats the way it is for now. I just wanted to see what the average drive to work for yalls Shizzies is!

About 45 minutes total walking and Skytrain time each way. (Vancouver)

It seems that an hour is pretty standard for a commute, but it sucks that you need to drive it with your own hard-earned dinosaur juice.

my commute is 20 miles 1 way, sometimes it takes 15 minutes, sometimes it takes 30, it would be longer if I drove a car, but since I ride a motorcycle I can take the carpool lane.

My ride takes 45 minutes, from 24th street and baseline to scottsdale. i don't mind it because it is on 51 north and no traffic because i am going the other way. I like the time to unwind.

However, it would be bad as to walk or ride a bike to work, so many of the downtowners are like that and it makes me jealous

17 miles each way. Takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes. Usually more like 45 in the afternoons. Sucks.

mine is 30 minutes from downtown to north scottsdale. i hate it BUT i am also going north on the 51 and there is no traffic which is nice and i get to listen to music which is fun. but i still hate it.

EDIT: after reading about everyone's commute (except for weener's) i feel better about mine.

but i still hate it.

16.4 miles. but it's not really convenient (or faster) to take the freeways, so it's largely on surface streets. takes about 35 minutes. i do get to drive right past camelback and through paradise valley, so it's about as scenic as any drive in the city can be.

Emperors of Japan
Myspace

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

I am about 13 miles from work, all Freeway North 51 until Greenway then its like 10 minutes...total 25-30 minutes.
But on the way home I have to pick up duh baby and that adds like 30-45 mintues of chatting with the inlaws and eating there food.

When I lived 8 miles from work it would still take me 25 mintues.

Wow, you work in Coolidge? I work in Sacaton. We should have lunch sometime.

My commute is approx 25 miles and it takes about 25-30 minutes each way. I don't mind. I'm trying to arrange a carpool but it hasn't panned out.
