isn't this the 5th biggest city in the US? If the Sherriff in the countys of Chicago or New York or even houston did this crap, it would be lights out...wild west still runs things out here. Sometimes for good, sometimes for bad.

Well see the big issue here is he seized a mainframe that houses his emails and another county offices emails on the same computer. He is suing that other county office therefore he has just ruined his whole lawsuit. This constitues as spoiling of evidence on his end. He now has access to his own emails (to delete or do whatever he wants to with them) and access to their emails which some I'm sure would be considered priviliged material and he should not be seeing. Also once he initiated a lawsuit against them both parties have to retain any communiciations that may be pertinent to the case. It is a conflict of interest on his part all the way not to metion against the law.

Arpaio does stupid shit like this because he gets away with it!
He can do whatever he fucking wants, he can fucking kill people, steal shit, arrest anyone he wants whenever he wants, lie, run completely false smear campaigns, take illegal election money, run prostitution rings, poop on people etc.
And he gets re-elected.
