I know equipment is valuable and we're all broke. I'm working on a play that has a live radio sports announcer from the late '40s-very early '50s and we need something that looks like

not to run through the sound system, just to visually indicate that the character is a broadcaster. Even the newer "novelty portable radio that looks like a mic" style would work. Need it now (or this weekend at the latest) through Sunday, September 27.
It's for New Carpa Theater -- can't pay you rental, but will buy it cheap if broken, take good care of it if not, fix or replace anything we break, give you a couple tickets to the show, a program ad if you have a small business.

I don't have one but one I have seen a lot is the Shure Super 55. Someone out there should have one...

as a suggestion, you can call antique stores. There are a lot in downtown Glendale.

Ask anyone in a rockabilly band. They all seem to have one, and since Shure still makes them new, they're not even that rare or delicate or anything like that.
