Why are they popular?
because people are fucking stupid. i can provide plenty of evidence to support this claim.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

Just started going to this place called Lil John's by my place. Although next time I'm going earlier, some dude sat next to me right as I got my food that smelled like baby powder and pee

There is place on University and McClintock that I tried. It was decent. Well, the salsa was fantastic. Most 'breakfast' places aren't that great for me since most restaurant breakfast is super fattening or has a ton of meats. 400 cals is my absolute max for breakfast so going out for breakfast is not really all that appealing to me.
I miss waffles though. Like the HUGE belgian waffles that are deliciously doughy w/ lots of butter and syrup.
and not eating meat... I MISS biscuits and gravy. Haven't found a good vegetarian version of white gravy yet. Just not the same.
