...was on Jimmy Fallon last night. They sounded great and looked slightly awkward. Very strange.

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

The fact that they played Savory makes me happier than you know.

Exactly.

Here's the original video, if interested.

Christine and I saw them together at Virginia Tech on the FYOSS tour in 1994. They were fantastic. She and I didn't meet until '96 though.

I also saw them in early '96 at a warm-up show pre-release of the self-titled at the College of William and Mary. It was kinda weird because nobody knew any of the songs. My friend Chris was doing sound for the opening bands, Crown Hate Ruin and Regulator Watts (both ex-Hoover), so I got to hang out before and after the show and talked a lot with Kim and Zach. Zach actually changed his pants and underwear in front of me while we were talking. that was very weird.

Saw them a few times out here. Once in Tucson, with Jawbreaker (who were terrible that night) and once at the Mason Jar. They were awesome both times. They played Cornflake Girl at the Mason Jar show which was really cool and some random Mason Jar bar guy bought me a shot of whiskey for no apparent reason, which was really cool as well
