i was lucky enough to spend christmas with the whole family and give/get a lot of gifts, and for the first time that i can remember i didn't get anything that made me say "what the fuck were you thinking?", even from grandma and grandpa and they're like 90.

the coolest gift: a ceramic butter dish that's been hand-painted to resemble a slice of bacon.

no bullshit. i had a cousin living with me at one time and he wanted to have a "playboy party." anyway, i built him a stripper pole for the occasion. after he moved out it sat in the corner of the front room and was quite entertaining at parties. needless to say, my grandma knew i had it (took it down about a year ago) and thought this would elicit laughs from my entire family as i opened it. she was right. i text msg'd an pic of me holding it to my gf and immediately got "what the hell? you are so regifting that" as a reply. ha ha my grandma also got me a steelers cooler backpack thing and and ceramic football helmet serving dish so that was pretty cool.

got a 16 gauge shotgun from my dad. when i was driving away from our cabin last night he asked if i would leave the gun and one shell with him just in case he couldn't take any more of the family. ha

oh, and my special lady friend got me this bad boy:
