Great Job is from Tucson and they're really fun folk-punk.

That show on the 13th has the touring band Mount Righteous, who are really awesome!

We were just there and no we didnt take it cause if we did then we would lose it or forget it and not be able to borrow thier gear anymore.

how does this always happen? i'm not in a band but i've had bands crash at my place. they always left their equipment in a locked trailer out front of the house and nothing ever happened. is this typically happening at motels where entire trailers are getting stolen or vans are getting broken into? i'd almost think that a band would have to designate someone to stay up and keep an eye on the gear. hell, maybe if there's a merch person along, that'd be their job. i know that's pretty impractical but it's probably better than getting your stuff jacked. so yeah, what seems to be the most common scenarios where this happens? anyone know?

My old band got their whole van AND trailer stolen in Detroit... It sucks, but...it IS Detroit, and i think KARMA may have played a role, as well.

I'm waiting to get a link from one of the band members, to a paypal account, but the plan is to post that around so they can hopefully get some $$ together and buy some new gear.
The good news is, they managed to borrow just about everything they need to finish the tour from the helpful parent of a fan! WHo'd expect anyone to have an extra banjo, mandalin and other esoteric gear just laying around!?
Even lent Tristan some cash to buy a pawn guitar!

Now THAT is how you treat a touring band.
Almost, kinda makes up for getting the gear taken to begin with.
