i would get up on saturday mornings and watch TMNT and X-Men while eating cereal.
i had all the dolls (or "action figures!") and the submarine (for bathtime) as well as the blimp.
i also had 2 of the NES video games
the original hardcore one and the arcade one
i hear they're making a remake of the movie

I am a big fan of TMNT when the creators appeared to run out of ideas:
from "Shredder's mother":
"Rejected by the world leaders when they demand that Earth surrender to them, Krang and Shredder set up a massive orbiting mirror in Dimension X that bathes the Earth in steaming heat. The extensive heat causes the ice caps to begin melting and also starts to evaporate the world's water supply.
Shredder's mother, Miyoko, hears about her son's plan from her retired home for villains and decides to join him.
The Turtles, with the aid of General Yogure and a space shuttle go to Dimension X to try and stop Krang and Shredder.
After by passing several obstacles in the Technodrome set by Miyoko, the Turtles finally make it to the control room. General Yogure distracts Miyoko, trapping her in one of her own traps. This gives the Turtles time to destroy the orbiting mirror. The Turtles and General Yogure manage to escape Dimension X just as the portal closes, returning them to Earth.
Shredder, getting tired of his mother treating him like a baby, transports her back to the retirement home"

...and the CGI movie was a sequel, not a re-make.

I made my mom let me go to kindergarten partially dressed as Leonardo once.
Favorite moment form the cartoons is from the episode "Hot-Rodding Teenagers From Dimension X":
"Cool!? Daddy-o, we are fuh-RO-zen!"
MINIBOSSIES NEVAR SAY DIE!

'the smuggest amongst us will always be the quickest to point out the most minor transgressions of others around them'- a quote i just made up and put quotes around to make it seem slightly fancier

Splinter has died and the turtles all took it pretty hard. Mikey lives in New York still in an old subway tunnel and has let him self go and just eats and watches TV most of the time, Don also lives in NY still but has not spoken to his brothers in a while and has sort of lost his mind a bit and is always doing weird experiments. Leonardo still practices ninjitsu and remains faithful to the teachings of his father. No one has seen Raph in over 10 years. The story would be told through Casey Jones’ eyes who is now and old man himself and has been a privet detective for some time now. He still visits the turtles individually just to keep up on them and to make sure they are okay.
One visit with Don he stumbles across dons new experiment to clone splinter. Scattered around Dons home are things of splinters and even 10-12 caged rats. Don tells Casey he needs his father back and how he is going to break into the university’s lab to do the cloning. This scares Casey so he tells Leo and explains that don is going to get into trouble. Word of this leaks out to the remaining foot clan that is scattered through out New York. Still upset that the turtles destroyed Shredder they plot to kill Don as a way to avenge their master. Long story short the night comes and all the turtles reunite at this Lab to stop Don and then the foot clan attacks! A huge battle ensues and during this the experiment goes wrong and during the fight something happens and a huge explosion happens killing all the foot clan and all the turtles except for leo. Leo crawls from the crumbled smoldering ruble to find his dead brothers and then stumbles upon four baby Rats……

blame that dude for sucking.A few years back when I was living in Boston, I was on a date with this fella. We were walking to a bar and we walked over a grate in the sidewalk just as the T was going by. This lead to a discussion about sewers and what was really down there. I made a joke about how the only thing that lived down there was Master Splinter and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was met with a combination of a blank stare and a slight look horror. Needless to say, I blame the TMNT for the failed date.

I have had an Idea for a turtles book for about 10 years now. It would be about them being older.

On October 21, 2009 it was announced that cable channel Nickelodeon (a subsidiary of Viacom) had purchased all of Mirage's rights to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property. Mirage retains the rights to publish 18 issues a year, though the future involvement of Mirage with the Turtles and the future of Mirage Studios itself is unknown.[2] Nickelodeon plans to develop a new CGI-animated TMNT television series and will partner with fellow Viacom company Paramount Pictures to bring a new TMNT movie to theaters. Both are expected for 2012.
