Here's the text from their site:

FEBRUARY 8, 2010

During the past seven years, all of us involved with the Circle K Tempe Music Festival have greatly appreciated the tremendous outpouring of support from our fans, our sponsors and the City of Tempe as we have continued to grow and improve the event year after year.

For 2010, we have had to make the tough decision to postpone our efforts. The single and primary factor in our decision is that, due to various artists’ recording and touring schedules, we now believe that timing will not allow for us to assemble a line-up of top-tiered talent that everyone has come to expect from the festival.

Despite the 2010 postponement, we intend to move toward continuing the Circle K Tempe Music Festival in 2011. Stay tuned for details.

You can read the actual press release if you want at http://www.tempemusicfestival.com/. Says pretty much the same thing.

if they're going to do that shit at the same time of year next year, they're going to run into the same problem. either move the date or start doing your effing homework a little earlier.

this show was a fucking joke in the first place. i went the year MCR headlined and there was NO INDICATION when buying tickets that you had to buy seperate tickets to get into the front-of-stage area. its like a family festival, not just a typical booths-and-stuff bigger show. and in between co-headliners, there was A BREAKDANCING JCPENNEY FASHION SHOW. im not kidding.

i know these types of shows are never, ever going to cater to me but these things, among many others, seemed even worse than the norm.

also, house shows.

how do you have a single AND a primary factor? Seems like the single factor would be enough.

Ugh. you and your "logic" and "words"

why don't you go tend to your chickens while the big boys deal with the single and primary reasons relating to the crushing collapse of the best music festival in the country.
