well this threads been dormant for a while.

I need reference for an Orthopedist.
Not a chiropractor or acupuncturist, but an MD with a very respectful attitude to his patients, who treats surgery as a very last resort.

I've been having neck trouble for a while now, and prior doctors have narrowed it down to--most likely--a nerve problem, so I need to get an updated diagnosis and some options for treatment.
Because of numerous prior back problems I prefer to not have any more cutting.
Excellent bedside manner is critical to me in hiring a doctor.
It's important for me that the doctor has conversations about condition and treatment, and not talk down to me.
