i am thinking about going to the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago this year, even though the $90-3day passes are sold out.

It's to hang with friends and enjoy Chicago, as well. I've been more of a metal dood lately, but I'll enjoy the festival nonetheless.

That part definitely sounds awesome. I just remember being a little more excited by lineups in past years.

Has Lightning Bolt played PHX within the past five years? When I lived in Flag they played up there at this Community Adult Center in '05 (I think) and it was packed like crazy. Since moving to PHX I haven't seen or heard of them playing around here. And I think they played Flag again last year or so?

as far as i know, no they haven't. Tried getting them to come out a few times, as they play LA occasionally. No such luck. I think they plan on it in the semi-distant future though. Who knows, would love to see them outside of a festival setting.
