I'm glad someone found a use for the property. I saw Bikini Kill, Dead and Gone, and some other stuff (maybe the Specials?) there. I liked the fact that you could play outside or half inside, half outside. Not the most remarkable space, however.
I remember the first club to take Boston's place: Club Macarena. That was gross.

I saw Cows at Boston's in 1992. One of my favorite bands from high school and favorite shows from the 90s.
Awesome- best show I ever saw there was The Jesus Lizard in 1995 or 6, with Pegboy and Kepone.
I played this show! I think this is the time that someone spray painted "Jesus n|gger" on the side of their giant bus. weird. Their sound check was epic. He just yelled FUCK over and over into the mic for a good 3-4 minutes. Great times there. Bands that were playing that night used to get any drink for $1. Jeff used to make a MEAN bloody mary.

Yep, the show was outside, David Yow kept balancing the mike stand on my head (which was annoying) so I jumped on stage and tackled him, throwing us both into the crowd. We landed smack on the concrete, he bounced up and kept singing, it took me a minute to get up. The next year they were here they played Gibsons, I was talking to him after the show and I apologized for tackling him. He told me "I have no problem with someone tackling me on stage." He gave me a half-consumed bottle of Jim Beam when they left. I felt like a groupie.
