My apologies for living in L.A. (though I grew up in AZ)
We actually show up when he plays here.
'Wolverine' and 'Death of Refrain' are my favorites.

Absolutely. Bon Voyage my brother.
As another LA guy, who actually never lived in Phoenix... Sorry Phoenix.
I love it.
So why do a few folk singers cover this young man's songs?
Anyone? This guy is the definition of underrated, and we're not even real tight anymore. I wish he would've never left Winged Victory Records. I love Jeff like a brother, but he's totally unpredictable. I remember him from his Skybox days. I love him but he's all over the place. Now that he's married and has a kid he's probably more mellow.

Perhaps JC was right. Us L.A folks just aren't welcome here. Sorry Phoenicians. My wife has viewed JC's post a handful of times (and I believe we have 4+ replies between the 2 of us evil Californians on vacation), yet the the views (according to theshizz.org) are zero. Just a coincidence I'm sure,
Sincerely,
Mr and Mrs Pete Fernandez.

My wife (who has a BS in Computer Science) told me it's possible to block someone from a forum, not just their posts (God Forbid!), but the views can
be deleted as well. Good work. JC may be a Suns fan, but I am not. Nor do I believe in your site's tactics.

1) there's a known glitch on the board that doesn't update the view/post count immediately. it happens on most new threads. we've addressed this before with JC of bethlehem because he asked the same thing a few months back. on the long list of things we need to improve about the board, this is near the bottom. nobody has the time to monitor new threads and actively modify the post counts, so please don't think we care enough about anyone's posts (from LA or otherwise) to do so. if somebody were legitimately going to get banned, they'd know it.
2) the board, especially the shows forum, gets very little traffic on a friday night at 9 pm. although the counts may not have been updating, it's entirely likely that in the 2 hours you posted that you're the only people who looked at those threads. it's certainly okay to post/repost info, but if it's not getting any responses it's because it's not being read. similarly, the board is slow on weekends.
and i guess a third thing:
nobody here has any beef with LA. in fact, there are a fair amount of posts from all over southern california, but typically they're in other forums. most of the shows/events in the show forum are phoenix based as are the people who read that forum, so out of town bands don't benefit from posting there unless they're playing in phoenix.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

this thread is actually more for shows in the phoenix area, if you are trying to show your music to people I would probably do it in the General Forum, and if you want a pretty wide audience (with quite a few people from the l.a. area) try posting in the minibosses forum.
Sadly, as Tony also stated, the Shows N Stuff forum isn't as lively in general but especially on a friday night, most people (I would like to think) are out at shows or (more likely) sleeping and not on the shizz.
Message board?
This is The Shizz.
Chromelodeon manages to get all the furniture from their hotel into the lake a few years back...and people are worried about shizzies?
