when will people realize that abortions are gonna happen no matter what. make it hard as hell to get, still will happen. proof of this is in every country in the world that does not have legal abortion access in its laws (a violation of human rights if you ask me).

in brazil for example, a recent study has shown that 1 in 5 Brazilian women of child-bearing age have terminated a pregnancy, and statistics by the Health Ministry show that 200,000 women each year are hospitalized because of complications arising from unsafe abortions.

sadly the brazilian congress wants to tightening legislation on reproductive freedoms rather than relaxing them. A bill in the committee stage proposes criminalizing any act designed to deliberately damage a fetus and prohibiting any statements that promote legal abortion

the roman catholic church in Brazil wields a lot of (sad) power and recently excommunicated doctors who performed an abortion on a 9-year-old raped by her stepfather.

And we can't get anyone to vote for sexual education in school. In my 7th grade "sex ed" day they weren't allowed to tell us what a condom was, or what it meant to "pop a cherry" But I'm glad we are all concerned with a zygote

My 9th grade biology textbook had a chapter on human sexuality, and it didn't even contain the phrase "fallopian tube." I checked.

I totally believe that if it was the male species that had the fortune to get impregnated and carry the fetus to birth instead of females - this would all be so different. Reproductive health would be viewed differently altogether (socially, financially...)

SIGH...i know its cliche as fuck, but i dont get it when men are anti abortion. we dont have the right to FORCE a whole gender to do as 'god' sees fit.

i see it like this: im morally opposed to walmart-so i dont shop there. i dont try to make it illegal for other people to do so.
