This will be a pretty standard / small open mic - no full bands, just singer / songwriter type stuff, instrumentals, or readings if you're into that. Duets are totally fine too!
We'll start signups at 6:30, then start the acts at 7:00 and go til 9:00. 2 song / 8 minutes for performances, and we'll rotate through the list if possible so that people can perform more than once (totally depends on the amount of people that sign up).
There will be 2 mics setup, but also a few extra channels available if you need to plug in another mic, a keyboard, or whatever.
This is similar to the open mic, but for DJs! Sets are going to be limited to 20 minutes, so PLEASE plan it out ahead of time so we can make sure everyone gets a chance.
Ideally this will give beginners a chance to get started, or even people having a tough time finding a gig. In addition, seasoned veterans can blow out a great set and offer advice to anyone seeking it!
This will be vinyl ONLY! If you're using a laptop and / or Serato, shut it down, dust off your wax, and get your fingers dirty! This is your chance to get back to vinyl, even if only for a night or two!
EVERYONE is welcome! Any style of music, any style of playing (stop / start, beatmatching, juggling, whatever!).
