I don't wanna even think about eating Mufasa or any other member of a pride.

I'm going to eat so many musafas in August.

The thought of eating such a beautiful animal makes me so sad. I feel that way about a lot of animals.

i'm on day four of no meat. it's not overly intentional.. just a "not being such a fat ass" thing for now. my gf has decided she's not eating any meat that she doesn't know where it comes from and how it was raised. ie; locally born and raised without being pumped full of hormones. and since she makes dinner, that means i'm essentially under the same eating condition. i could eat meat at work for lunch but because of the first issue i mentioned, i've been eating garden salads for lunch. can't say i'm psyched about it but it's something that's probably a good idea for me.

as far as lion burgers.. i'd want to know exactly how they came about the meat. did one die and they had it processed? was it killed for the meat? isn't the lion an endangered species?

"Because it is from a farm, it in no way affects the scarcity of lions in Africa," Selogie said.

The restaurant ordered five pounds of the African lion meat from a USDA regulated free-range farm in Illinois, which Selogie said he researched to make sure they were humane. After some positive feedback and more reservations were made, however, they ordered five more pounds.

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

I'm not sure I'd want to eat any type of cat. Now if it's stir fried up and served to me as sesame chicken in downtown phx,....well, that's a different story.

"A beautiful, exotic creature that should be out in the wild is being killed for someone to eat as a burger," Cooper said. "What's next? Dogs? Cats? What's the difference?"

but every other creature that's not exotic and allowed out in the wild (chickens, cows), well.. fuck them. hypocrite.

if it's from a farm and not effecting the population or status of the species, then i think it's less of a big deal. a good idea? probably not. and they're mixing it with ground beef? what's the point then? "ooh ooh.. i think i taste the lion part among all the beef! oh wait, that's the pickle."

I'm sure if I was stranded and starving I would hunt and eat any animal I could for survival if I had no other option but I don't live like that now. Food is easy to come by and in abundance.

This just makes my heart sick.

to each their own though. If you are an omni eater and you want to try stuff like this that's your option. Like people who eat monkey brains and stuff... yuck.
