Shit, it seems hot to me. I think the 111F days are justifiably hot. But maybe we reserve the 'hot' designation for 115 and above? I'm still not using the AC in my car in the morning, so I guess it's not bad.

Anyone care to chime in on how the heat in PHX is nothing compared to the humidity of (insert humid place here)?

it really doesn't compare to the humidity in the south. I moved out here from MD in 92 and began touring in 93. Touring through the south in the summer was a moist experience. I thought i was a tough guy because i grew up dealing with the humidity/heat of the east coast. I was such a pussy from just a couple summers here. i was dying. Humidity makes shit WAY worse. Fer reals.

It's a dry heat!

The past week has been really miserable. then again, I am couch hopping. And I am crashing on a leather couch right now, it's like peeling off a fruit roll up. So gross

there was a heat wave advisory media freak out thing
in montreal when i was there last week.
that shit was laughable, 91, felt like 97 with the humidex factor.
they made it sound like it was the end of the world.
it's unbearably hot here, it makes me hate life from may to october.
i'll take 90 degrees with 90% humidity over 110 and dry any fucking day of the week
and i'll take -10 over both of those on any given day.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

+1.

The last few weekends, I've been like "I should really be constructive and run errands".

Then I take the garbage out around eleven.

Fuck that. It's hot. I'll play video games inside instead.

word.

i mean, i can tolerate some mornings (some) outside early - like 6 am - but i'd much, much rather be inside sleeping at that point than being outside doing anything.

My kid doesn't give a fuck. He'd stay outside all day if i let him. Sweaty little bastard. He literally caught on fire yesterday. I had to hose him off before he came inside.

with the new house there's all sorts of things we need to get done in the front/back/side yards. that shit can all wait til october.

and i was lucky enough to have been in seattle all last week. the highs were in the mid to low 70s and sunny the whole time. definitely not psyched to be back. <_<

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.
