Finally got his store open, eh? rad :-) Rough market to open up in, but I guess if you can figure out a business model in this economy, you'll have it made when things ease up.

Great location, too. Anyone been in there? I hope he stocks a variety of stuff, along with his custom builds.

Good job LadydemonLB!

Haymaker is officially the only shop you need to go from now on for vintage gear, guitar and amp repairs, custom built Haymaker guitars, possible trades, and some funny good conversation with Mr. Donnie Windham.
You can't miss the bright teal building, in fact you should love that color very much.
Stop in and check out.
So much cool stuff you'll go ape.
I'm so happy for my buddy Don that he got this going as he'd been planning for so long.
Please DO stop in.
:)

going this weekend.

donald has set up / rebuilt all of my guitars a time or two. he does great custom work too. had him put dual inputs (one input per pickup) in one of my japanese rigs. came out awesome. ended up giving that guitar to joel from bolt! because he was experimenting with using one guitar for both guitar and bass tones. (run each input into separate efx chains/amps and EQ accordingly) fast, fair, and fuckin hilarious. that's mr. windham. can't wait to see the new shop...

haha LB walked in there when I was checking the place out. had spend the previous 20 minutes bs-ing with don about Traynors and other amp geekerie. :-)

he's got some neat stuff. almost handed over $300 on the spot for an amp, managed to control myself for now. we'll see how long I hold out.

Right Skeksis! What a cool shop! I had a question about fixing up a large 1970's Curtis Mathes stereo console along these lines:

got a friend who's gonna help me get my guitar up and running and give me a lesson or two. we talked yesterday and he asked if there was a guitar store around my house and i had no idea. this is just around the corner from me pretty much so i'll be sure to grab my strings from there this week. thanks for bumpin' it.

note that he's not stocking a ton of strings & other accessories... just enough for the setup work he does. when I asked him about this awhile back, he said it was expensive to maintain a large selection of that stuff, and it's just easier to let those sales go to other shops that bother (Bizarre, GC).

but you should probably go into Haymaker anyway :-)
