should i be honored or worried? maybe they want to trade bbq for art

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

Lemme know when you get that BBQ. I promise to stop sending homeless people out to kick your truck.

This place is fucking amazing, if you can drive out for a show, you can drive out for some badass barbecue, just sayin.

:)

I would be less surprised if John Lipfert said he was being followed by them, since his band is called "chief beef" ;)

the homemade rootbeer and cream soda is awesome. I wasn't impressed by the bbq.

Yeah, the homemade root beer is pretty good. It's stronger than store bought root beer.

wow, really DB?

I mean, I am no connoisseur, but if you like different types of meat covered in different types of barbecue sauce with some big ass potatoes, corn, cole slaw and mac and cheese well, I thought it was good :)

HEY

but i want to...its just hard when i live within biking distance of Honey Bears and Stacys (which is soooooo gooood). plus the analogy is crappy since i would pretty much never drive out that far unless it was one of my favorite bands ;)

I thought the meat was bland and dry - the sauce was good but they definitely don't use enough. I grew up w/ bbq being seasoned rubbed then carmalized sauce w/ heated sauce on the side to dip in.

my family even put bbq in and on meatloaf.

and the macaroni and cheese - I was so let down my the mild flavor, and dryness of it.

the bread! the bread is really good. really really good.
