There's a kid (or group of kids) who went through Coronado and Garfield on Wednesday 9/1 and keyed a whole bunch of cars... He got my wife's Scion, and some cars parked at Garfield Elementary too. ARGH.
If this happened to you - I've got some contact info for a guy who's pulling together info...

I didn't notice my car getting keyed, I will have to verify in the morning.

were both of these a couple years ago? Slim?
been hearing more of the details on this new pattern - and it looks like some addresses closer to Central up around Palm have be hit too. one car had some $7k damage, new lexus that had every single panel deeply scratched. OUCH!
Seems like it's probably some bangers from North High... hope they get nabbed.

FYI, police made an arrest on a kid doing this in Coronado yesterday, matched the descrition of the kid who hit my wife's car...
EDIT - turns out it wasn't a kid, but instead a 40 year old transient who looks and dresses like a kid. He's been arrested for this before.
IF you've been a victim (apple), be sure to make a police report (just over the phone) so that the guy gets listed as a suspect.
