telephone survey

so if she is ahead by 3 points you could say that she is at 51.5 and goddard is at 48.5 in a survey of 555 people. So then sampling error = squareroot((.515x.48.5)/555). we are 68% sure that brewer has between 49.38% and 53.62%. We re also 68% sure that goddard has up to 50.62%. These overlap (50.62> 49.38)so it could actually mean that goddard could be ahead!!!

damn college kids........

Sometimes i feel like the only young liberal voter that uses early ballots, but im just too lazy to leave the house and stand in line to vote.

ps omg lets talk about whats on everyone mind WHO IS GOING TO BE OUR MINE INSPECTOR!?

Manuel Cruz likes star wars, harry potter, and Under the Tuscan Sun so he gets my vote!

early ballots for the win always. i never used to vote (except for major elections) until i signed up for the early ballot list in AZ. now i vote in every fucking election.

the laziness wins for me. i dont want to go down to the polls and stand in line. if you are paranoid (like i was in the 2008 prez elections) that your early mail-in ballot won't get counted, you can also hand turn it in on election day, just walk up and give it to the polling volunteer, they will put it in the machine and count it.

the early ballot voting list has actually made me way more politically aware

Mine inspector is important!

I am voting for Chris Deschene for Secretary of State because he seems most suited for the job over icky ken bennnett. this is an important office because brewer was secretary of state until napolitano abandoned us.

The poll was 38% to 35% and I would say the margin of error is probably favoring Goddard, which could still put him kind of far behind, but he has still made up a lot of ground since Brewer signed 1070. This election is still up in the air as long as people get off their asses on Nov. 2nd.

This poll was made in spanish and english so it probably overestimates goddard's support by little but the margin of error with 95% certainty is 4.2. Id call it a dead heat based on this stat. Most journalists seem to make sample statistics like these out to be well defined population parameters. It's really too close to call.

I know you should have seen Huppenthal's debate. All he could talk about is "the science" whatever that means. He's also another one who is refusing to do anymore debates, just like Brewer. You would think they would get out there any chance they could get. That alone make me not trust them. If they can't defend their position why would I vote for them.

dear terry goddard:
you're running against maybe the least educated person in america who currently holds a governorship. she also gave what could be considered the worst performance in any debate in the history of politics. it was incomprehensibly bad. it made christine o'donnell look like a rhodes scholar. if you, or your campaign managers, can't somehow pull together a "are you fucking kidding me? you're really going to vote for this idiot?" commercial and get it on the air between now and the election then you deserve to lose. seriously. either retire, or grow a pair and start fighting.

sincerely,

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

I love getting the early ballot and this made me laugh. JJames, you should be Terry Goddard's campaign manager. Does Goddard even have one?

flashback 2008: "While I take somme (sic) small comfort in the trend moving in the right direction, I still don't think there's much to be optimistic about. It'll be closer than expected, probably, but it'll blow my mind if Obama gets there."

But this is AZ. For the record, late polls suggested that AZ was in play for Obama - yet really he lost AZ by almost 9 points... Doubtful, but crossing my fingers that Goddard can do better. But 1) it's not 08, and 2) Goddard is no Obama. His political instincts are shockingly bad for someone who's been involved his whole life more or less.

Kinda enjoying the "she's sick" vs "he's gay" jabs.
