4 songs later, i couldn't stop.
and the beers are only $1 so i also drank too much.
A drunk me singing Salt N Pepa's "Shoop" was just sad (that song is surprisingly hard!)
SO now i love going on thursdays.
tonight - my sister and i and some friends are going - you should come out and have fun with us. i like it because it's not stuffy or crowded and no one is a good singer and it's hilarious.
the two songs i sing now every time are:
I Want to Know What Love Is - foreigner
I Want to Sex You Up - color me badd
you dont want to miss me singing i wanna sex you up to random gay guys at the bar that have no interest in me at all. the look of disgust on their faces is....well it hurts. honestly.
Plasma is on 16th st and osborne, NW corner to the west of the auto repair shop. it is a gay bar so if you hate gay people you are a loser and can't come.

i saw the meat department perform there. appropriate? probably. ha ha.. they had a weird comedy performance beforehand. some of them appeared to be first-timers and it was definitely painful to watch. we left after the meat department were done as they were setting up for the strip tease. i was hairier and fatter back then and probably coulda stuck around for some free drinks from bear-lovers. ha

hah! i was at that show too. the meat dept played way too long, i had to leave because i was there to see my friend's band, Male Pattern Radness, but they didn't even get to go on because the meat dept played over their set! douchey

i think they probably played too long for that room. those folks were definitely not feeling it. (buddyhead's rules of rock #33: Unless you're the headliner you shouldn't be playing hour and a half sets, keep it short. The idea that, 'Hey these people don't seem to like us, maybe they just didn't like those songs, let's play some more until we play one they like' is never accurate. Get off the stage. We want to go home." ha ha) i think i remember them telling me they were told to go ahead and just play out since the "comedy" went so long. that it was going to put too little time in between them the tease show deal they had going on. i think at least one or two of the comedians hopped on last minute or something. no idea really. do you watch tosh.0? he had a dude on there that was the "worst comedian ever." the black guy that night reminds me a lot of that guy that was on tosh.0 (sure hope he got better)
found the tosh comedian..

3rd Eye Blind - Semi-charmed kind of life (duet with JDLC/my sister)
Billy Medly/Jennifer Warnes - Time of My life (duet with my friend mike who sang his part in the style of Leonard Cohen)
Foreigner - I wanna Know what love is (solo)
Salt N' Pepa - Shoop (duet - i redeemed myself)
highlight of the night was watching JDLC and my friend David sing Seal's Kiss from a Rose, i have it on video and it is hilarious
