The Joe Arpaio split release was an amazing show.
Kronfest, particularly Wizwars and IHYWYP was also awesome.

the shizz comp show at trunk space/sweets & beats was fun, as was shizzbee, but i'm biased since those were my babies, suckling at my tit.

And anyway, it's the best shows you saw, they don't have to be the best of all time, just the best this [last] year.
So even if you saw 100 crappy shows, then the least crappy is still the best, right?

i think the most fun local show i saw this year was ELDERS/MARK OF THE RAT at PV lounge last january. got mad rowdy, and i dont think people expected it to. lots of shady shit went down 
it was kinda like being at abar and two shitty bands start setting up around 10 pm to play to their 5 friends. but instead of two shitty bands it was two raging bands, and instead of 5 friends it was like 50 drunk punk kids. shit was awesome.
trust me. i keep a calendar of all the shows ive been to. you know it is true.
