On May 21st of this year I plan On riding my bike to Coolidge through the Rez.
Its about a 50 mile bike ride there and ill have a ride home and will have someone on standby incase of an emergency. Im looking to see if anyone would like to do this with me? I mean I will go alone but I dunno it would be cool to have some company.

anyone?

If I have a reliable bike by then and am able to do so schedule-wise I might be down. This past summer I was riding 20 miles per day on hilly southern PA terrain so I'm assuming this shouldn't be too bad.

No but the air is so thick there you have to chew it.
Its far worse to bike in really hummid places than here.

the 50 miles thing doesn't concern me nearly so much as the 21 May thing... will be seriously warm by then. But I might be on board as something to work towards.

Any idea what sort of pace you'll be keeping? I have a decent older road bike, and do quite a bit of commuter riding... but not into the spandex thing.

Got to talking with my wife's dad recently about how back in the day he used to do 200km (around 130 miles) in the hills around the south bay area... whew!

how are the roads you plan to take?

i'm down to join, but i have pretty small tires and tubes are prone to pinch flats. rough roads = loads of flats for me.

I would love to have all of you and any of you join. would make it awesome!
I ride at about 12-14mph but on this ride may take it slower.
I will be wearing spandex shorts with a padded ass yes so well if youre not into it cool just dont look at my ass!

I have small tires as well but will be upgrading to more of a road/mountain bike tire for this.
The roads are not bad but not the smoothest either.

Yes its going to be warm so sunblock and lots of water and gatorade and cliff bars will be coming with me.
Im doing this now so that in October of this year I can do it again but maybe to Florence on that ride.

WORD!

Funny~!

I was telling RV about this at practice around the same time you were posting this.

Although if RV goes with you, there'll be less clif bars and spandex, and more Tecate and flannel.

RV was saying he'd probably do this on a shitty bike..... for sport.

burritos and a first aid kit and shit.

I drive next to you slobbering McDonalds all over the place and splash water on your heads.

I think you're supposed to call me Tank or something
