I thought I heard Center City lost their Gibson distributorship for some unethical shit.
Yeah, from Scary Jerry @ MTroniks...

It had better be the best Les Paul you ever played, and simultaneously give you a blow job when you play it for that kind of money.I played the best Les Paul I have ever played at Center City. A Jeff Beck Custom shop. I think it was like 15K.

I went here, luckily it was literally around the corner from the Stone Brewery. It was in an office park. You go upstairs and there are two offices and piles of boxes and broken amps. Then there's a little room with a few amps, like maybe 4 total, none are hooked up, and more boxes. Finally there's a room with some guitars hanging on the wall, all of them new Korean and Chinese imports. Nothing like a cool Tokai flying V. Also, one guy bitching loudly on the phone about some distributor in Utah. I thought about taking a big smelly dump in their little bathroom.Super Sound Music in Escondido is a pretty rad guitar store, but it's also pretty dense. They have some pretty rare/boutiquey stuff, but it's a little like digging through someone's attic. That's where I first found my Tokai flying V and fell in love with it.

Wow! Something changed there. It was nothing but boutique (still messy) last time I was there. There were dream amps and guitars there the two times I've been there over the years. He was talking about moving it all to Tucson and giving Rainbow a run for their money the last time I was there. Sorry for steering you wrong. One outa two ain't bad, though.

Oh, no need to apologize!! I appreciate the good tips but things do change. They would have to improve substantially to give Rainbow a run for their money. And like I said, it was about 1 mile or less from the brewery and totally on the way.Wow! Something changed there. It was nothing but boutique (still messy) last time I was there.
