had i taken the advice of my then-roommate and started at my current company when she did (she's since quit), i'd be a millionaire as of about an hour ago. <_< at the time i was like, "screw that, man.. no more cubicle jobs for me.." i was working at nita's and dicking around with the music stuff and just having fun. well now i'm in the cubicle anyway and my pockets are certainly not heavier by a million bucks. :(

oh well.. live and learn.

anyone have any, "fuck! if only i woulda..." moments they wanna share?

on the other hand, maybe the company was successful BECAUSE you didn't work for them. that's the silver lining, jer.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

I worked for a horrible, horrible co. that offered stock options that split multiple times. Supervisors, friends and friends family members became millionaires. I didn't take pursue the stock because I thought the internet couldn't last ...

I'm still not a millionaire. But, I feel fine :)

i started at at&t in '96 and you could opt into 401k pretty much right away (union gig) but i was like, "nah.. i'll keep my $, thanks.. i won't be here a year anyway." i finally quit in '03. i was fully vested after like 5 years so you start earning shit anyway so when i left i got like $6k. had i been putting into the 401k that whole time, it'd have been 10 times that. <_<

i'm seriously fuckin' retarded when it comes to money. :(

anyone have any, "fuck! if only i woulda..." moments they wanna share?

i used to have a copy of giant size x-men #1 (first appearance of the 'new' x-men, colossus, nightcrawler and a bunch of other dudes).

i traded it when i was 15 for a bunch of new mutants comics (like #85 thru #100 cable/rob liefeld era) which are now worth close to a small pool of dog piss and the xmen book goes for around 5-7 grand for a comparable copy.

not a million bucks, but still makes me want to gouge my eyes out of my head when i think about it...

what. the. fuck.

i sold my summer home in the hamptons and had the chance to invest in berkshire hathaway when it was trading at $91,000 per share, but instead i bought a yacht and claimed it as a residence because i didn't want to pay the capital gains tax. now BH is trading at $119k! hindsight is 20/20.
