My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

This is how I feel.I worked for a horrible, horrible co. that offered stock options that split multiple times. Supervisors, friends and friends family members became millionaires. I didn't take pursue the stock because I thought the internet couldn't last ...

had i taken the advice of my then-roommate and started at my current company when she did (she's since quit), i'd be a millionaire as of about an hour ago. at the time i was like, "screw that, man.. no more cubicle jobs for me.." i was working at nita's and dicking around with the music stuff and just having fun. well now i'm in the cubicle anyway and my pockets are certainly not heavier by a million bucks.
oh well.. live and learn.

i used to have a copy of giant size x-men #1 (first appearance of the 'new' x-men, colossus, nightcrawler and a bunch of other dudes).
i traded it when i was 15 for a bunch of new mutants comics (like #85 thru #100 cable/rob liefeld era) which are now worth close to a small pool of dog piss and the xmen book goes for around 5-7 grand for a comparable copy.
not a million bucks, but still makes me want to gouge my eyes out of my head when i think about it...
what. the. fuck.
