It appears that Mitch Hurwitz has plans to release another short season of Arrested Development leading into a movie. There has been speculation about the movie for years but these plans have been confirmed by both Hurwitz and Will Arnett.

The old "hey, the Arrested Development movie is being worked on!" rumor that inevitably comes out every six months stopped working (at disappointing me), so they've come up with a newer way to get my hopes up even higher before they're inevitably dashed yet again...

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

Networks are already circling. Mitch Hurwitz has said several times that he would only continue the series or do a movie if he was serious about it and felt it would live up to the original 3 seasons (which is why he originally didn't want to continue after 3) so I have high hopes.

Up All Night - 1/2 hour comedy (sans laugh track) with Christina Applegate and Maya Rudolph. Not bad, although it helps to be a sleep-deprived parent of young kids to appreciate some of the jokes......
