For all his quirkiness and egocentric ideas he was one hell of a CEO and I know Apple haters will be celebrating, but without Jobs and Apple most of what we have today in technology he had some kind of part in.

+1. Hate or no hate for Apple, Jobs was a great man. Not the kind of great man who buys something huge he can't quite afford, like a truck that eats big trucks, burnin down the road like a goddamn eagle, yeah?Anyone who celebrates a death like this is just a horrible person.I know Apple haters will be celebrating

Even if you aren't an Apple person, dude changed the way we live our lives.
word. dude invented the personal computer, windows (yeah, i know it's microsoft but they fucking stole it from him), the ipod, the iphone, and ipad. 90% of what you use daily for technology was either invented or influenced by him. crazy.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

That other great man sounds pretty awesome too, though, John.

I'm bummed out. I knew he was sick, but I honestly didn't think his passing would be so damn soon.
