For all his quirkiness and egocentric ideas he was one hell of a CEO and I know Apple haters will be celebrating, but without Jobs and Apple most of what we have today in technology he had some kind of part in.

I am a sad panda today

i've never been an apple guy. i won an ipod at work and agree that it's awesome. it didn't convince me to make the switch tho. having said that, i'm definitely not celebrating his passing. one, that's a shitty thing to do when anyone passes. two, he pushed innovation like a crazy person. which was awesome for making other companies do the same in order to keep up. and he was only 56yrs old. that sucks.

They announced it on their website, like it's a new product.

I know Apple haters will be celebrating

Anyone who celebrates a death like this is just a horrible person.

+1. Hate or no hate for Apple, Jobs was a great man. Not the kind of great man who buys something huge he can't quite afford, like a truck that eats big trucks, burnin down the road like a goddamn eagle, yeah?

word. dude invented the personal computer, windows (yeah, i know it's microsoft but they fucking stole it from him), the ipod, the iphone, and ipad. 90% of what you use daily for technology was either invented or influenced by him. crazy.

Emperors of Japan
Myspace

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

That other great man sounds pretty awesome too, though, John.

I really wonder if he knew his end was so close? Because if he did, then he really worked up until the end. That's incredible. This whole thing is very sad. Whatever people think of Apple and Job's ... there is no way to deny his vision and force of personality rewrote the rules of personal technology.

I'm bummed out. I knew he was sick, but I honestly didn't think his passing would be so damn soon.
