As some of you may know, I have been teaching music in Chittagong, Bangladesh at the Asian University for Women (AUW). I had the incredible opportunity to conduct a choir known as the Society for International Musicians, and I taught several guitar classes as well.

Over the year, we sang and played both folk songs and popular songs from Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India and Afghanistan, as well as a few selected English language songs, specifically covers of "New World" by Bjork and "Another Sky" by Akron/Family. Additionally, the Society and I wrote a song together that has become AUW’s anthem. You can check it out here at our Bandcamp site. Furthermore, we recorded a few parts for the song "Arcosanti Bells" for Underground Cities' recently released album, Arcosanti.

Please take a listen, download whichever songs you want, and consider donating a few dollars. All funds raised will be used to hire a local Bangaldeshi guitar teacher to continue guitar lessons at AUW in my absence next academic year, and to make sure the students’ guitars have fresh strings. A few bucks go a really, really, really long way in Bangladesh.

Thanks!
