If you beleive in our local music scene, this is the place that you need to be. Spread the word, spread the word, spread the word. Invite your fan base to come and chill with you for the day, and then be in THE PICTURE...get exposed as someone who will not accept the concept that Phoenix does not have a local music scene or culture.
THE MORE PEOPLE THE BIGGER THE IMPACT THE PICTURE WILL HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feel free to contact me with questions (We have booked the bands though, but this will be an opportunity to network, network, network)

Event: "The Big Picture" and Block Party on Jackson St.
Is Metro Phoenix Ready to take possibly the most historic stand for local culture by seeing "The Big Picture?"
We think so.
Bring an instrument, a painting, or a garden hoe for all we care – whatever you feel represents your culture. On this day, you can stand in the street, and raise the symbol of your culture high above your head so that The New Times can take an aerial photo from the top of America West Arena.
This picture will be followed and preceded by a 12 hour Block Party that will celebrate our local art and culture - from break dancing to blues to film from the 2004 Phoenix Film Festival and everything in between.
This day we will show our diverse culture as one, as well as benefiting the Thomas J. Pappas School for homeless children.
Thank you to all of the sponsors that have jumped on board so far, including The New Times, America West Arena, Budweiser, Shh! Gallery, Wet Paint Art & Supply, Briggs of local band Keddah, Dirty Red of 602streets.com, and Sunstone Perry of local band Isle of Essence.

I am just doing what Julie asked me to do, spread the word about the Block Party. I'm her bitch for that day. The fire stomper. Spreading good vibes and letting people know where it's at. Bottles and cans and just clap your hands.
