Hello. My name is Ryan and I'm looking to put my old band back together and take it as far as it should've gone. The band was called Rondo Vega and was around from 1995-2002. The music was described as rockpop/indie/artsy, etc. The biggest factor of the band was not paying attention to styles or a particular "sound" and existing on diversity. You can hear some old songs we recorded with our old bassist at: www.garageband.com. Just search for the name. Anyways, I am looking for career-minded musicians who are willing to sacrifice everything for this. In a drummer I want someone who is aggressive; great timing; writes drum parts not just keeps a beat; simple but effective; pro-attitude, etc. The band was a 3-piece but I'd like to add a 2nd, more lead-oriented guitarist this time around. Someone who can counter the rhythm in a loving way. Please send all responses to rondovega@hotmail.com. The music was compared to bands like Weezer, Nirvana, Modest Mouse, Jawbreaker, Drive Like Jehu, Pixies, etc.. but we love all kinds of music, like: Far, Hum, Failure, Shiner, Houston, Pixies, Slint, RHCP, ATDI, Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu, Bad Brains, Police, Primus, Jon Spencer, June of 44, Shudder To Think, Unsane, Snapcase, Refused, Tupac, QOTSA, Queen, Beatles, Zeppelin, Stones, Doors, Television U2, Doves, Dead Kennedys, Green Day, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sunny Day Real Estate, Weezer, Sloan, etc.etc.etc.. blah blah blah, right? Well, lemme know.... oh, and let me know if re-locating and/or consistently touring is a problem for you.... and if you like broccoli and cheese as much as I do!

Thanks.
-ryan

P.S. Myself and the bassist are also in Batter The Drag.. you can check that out at: www.batterthedrag.com. If you're in another band, that's fine too!!

only if Jesse stops making fun of the Asian community with his crazy link titles. I just missed the link. It read 'drummer AND guitarist'. I got confused.

yea, that helps... i don't know if you heard the old RV stuff.. but if not, you should check it out and see if it's what you would like to do.... although that stuff was recorded in '98 and when we got wes (batter bassist) the stuff changed entirely and was 100% better in my opinion..... i loved Life Like Hair..... that sucks it ended... and I don't think we ever shared a practice space together, although I loved EOTM.... would've been nice to share a practice space with a band that doesn't suck.

Glad you found the site ryan, hope you find the musicians you're looking for. you shouldn't have to look too far as most people associated with the shizz have a propensity for playing in multiple bands
