All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

I use it. The only spam I get is the regular PayPal spam but it's minimul and I don't get a lot of it. I have never had an ebay transaction go wrong with it but I've only used it about 6 times. Now that I use it though it's the only way I'll make transactions. You don't have to count on the flakiness of bidders. The payments are usually about a day after you transfer your funds from paypal. Or you can just let it sit there and use it to buy more stuff. Good Luck.

Basically it's sort of a bank account you have with them. People direct deposit funds in and you withdraw funds our. There are setup fees and some transactions have fees (but not very many I think). You have a choice to either have them mail a check to you or send you a bill (those are the ones with fees) or you can do everything with funds transfers and there are no fees. You have to have a credit card and a checking account to get started and their is a credit check but I think you have to be pretty (make that extremely) screwed up not to pass it.

It will take some time between when set up your account and have it verified. Paypal sends 2 small (<$1) deposits to your checking account and you have to verify the amounts. It's sort of annoying if you have a shitty bank like I do with no online account access.
