Not my post, just passing on the message:

Hello all,

I am posting this 'official' message, since we've changed direction a
little since the last e-mail.

As you may already know, we are starting a website to help promote
the local Goth and Industrial scene at arizonaindustrial.com and
arizonagoth.com. The goal is to turn it into a comprehensive guide
to local goth/industrial bands and clubs.

Ideally, it will be a site where clubs can find bands, bands can find
fans, and fans can find music.

The site is going to be very simple. There will be one page per
artist, separated by genre, a bulletin board, and a file database.
More features will be added later (and upon request). There will
also be a special section for clubs and an event calendar.

In order to make the site complete, we need help from the bands
themselves. We would like to get the word out to as many people as
possible, so that the site cna be as complete as possible.

We want to include everyone. If you're goth, industrial, ebm, noize,
industrimetal, synthpop, darkwave, dancewave, coldwave, deathrock...
any sub-genre is welcome.

What we need from the local bands is some information:

If you have a website of your own, please contribute:
A short biography, including line-up
A description of your music, including what genre you would place
yourselves in
Any other information you would like to include
Any images, including your logo, that you would like on your page
Your font, if you have one, and a link to where it can be downloaded
A link to your website

If you do NOT have a website of your own with music available on it,
I can host your music files and create a link to them on your page,
but you only get to feature 3 files. MP3 only, please. Please send
all the above information, and let me know that you'll need an MP3
host.

(If you already submitted a bio, would you mind submitting the rest
of this stuff as well? Thanks)

The pages will be created in the order that I receive the
information. If you have a special request for your page or
additional links, just let me know, and I'll do my best to meet your
request.

The bulletin board and/or event calendar will be used for up-coming
show announcements and band promotion, so don't ask me to add it to
your page. The BB will also have space for buying/selling gear,
posting want ads for musicians, and also for general discussion,
obviously.

With the file database, I'd like to create a large 'sampler' of
Arizona music. I propose that each band get to upload 3 songs, MP3
format. I'll give you a log-in to the database and you can upload
them yourself, write the descriptions, etc, if you are interested.

Bands who do not send in information will not get a page on the site,
though they may be listed elsewhere (such as on the event calendar).

Club Owners/Promoters: We want to get more people in to your goth or
industrial show/dance night. We're planning on featuring a page per
music venue, with a map. If there is any additional material you
would like included on your page, please let us know.

We would also like to feature you on the event calendar, so it would
be great if you could keep us updated on your schedules.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE OR IF YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION,
PLEASE EMAIL:

mondayx2@machine-god-war.com

We are planning launch a landing page for the site soon, with all the
information you've seen here. For now:
***THE SITE IS NOT UP YET but the Bulletin Board is active. The link
is: http://arizonaindust...hpbb2/index.php ****

Thanks!!

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.
