Art Clokey, the creator of the greenish clay figure Gumby, died on Friday at his home in Los Osos, Calif. He was 88 years old. Clokey and his wife Ruth were trailblazers in stop motion clay animation.
Animation has made giant leaps forward in terms of special effects since the heyday of Gumby, a figure cut from clay and stiffened with wire. And this year was a particularly thrilling time for animation, with such movies as “Up,” “Ponyo,” “Coraline,” “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and “The Princess and the Frog.”

True that. Good call...i haven't seen catherine deneuve on here yet...
I met some lady at the Burbank airport tonight. We had an hour to kill before our flights. It was a non-date that was better than any real date that I'd been on for a good while now. The fact that she was 60 years old wasn't nearly as much of a deterrent as the fact she already had a boyfriend and lives in CA/WA (and was a Vikings fan - I always end up falling for division rivals...)
Such is life...
I suppose a great non-date is better than no great non-date at all.
I would have died happily tonight had that hand been dealt my way, but it wasn't. I guess everything from here on out is gravy...Delicious, delicious gravy...

I wish I had this lighting all night. Having that late afternoon, pre-sunset light diffused through those white sheets over the windows at the Trunks Space is fucking heaven to shoot in...
