#888695 Washer Rebates Still Available

Posted by johnmck6 on 13 April 2010 - 05:12 PM in The Shizz General Forum

From what I hear, you had to be on the website at 6am to get a chance. They were going faster than Blizcon tix.

It looks like you can still get on the washer waiting list, which means that if people don't use their rebates by 5/12, you still have a shot.

It doesn't apply retroactively, though!

I got a washing machine rebate and a hot water heater one, but there are still washing machine rebates left as of now (over $1,000,000 left) The dishwasher and hot water heater rebates are gone, though.

It's worth it, if you need a new washer, you get $125-$200 back if you buy one that meets the criteria.

We drop our dog at Sun City Pet Lodge. It's way out off grand ave in Sun City, but they take good care of the animals.

Our cat we usually just have a friend drop by a few times a week to check on. She's kind of a loner of a cat, though...

Contacted Snowsongs...........no response. Not surprised.

Yolanda is cool, I recorded her as a solo artist a couple years back. She's a little slow to respond on myspace, though!

I like your list, too, if I was getting a new band together, I'd be interested. But between recording and 2 small children, no time...

#880563 Band/Show flyers

Posted by johnmck6 on 26 March 2010 - 08:39 AM in The Shizz General Forum

Back in the day we used to flyer everywhere when we promoted shows (Medical presents.)

As far as effectiveness, they can be, still, I think. But you have to figure out where your target market is and focus your efforts there. Putting up big posters at the venue, and handbills by the door there is a good combo, if your show isn't an odd ball show at that venue.

As far as brand-building, I agree that seeing a name a lot does pique my interest a bit, I may go check out their webpage if I see their name enough.

At the end of the day, though, it's about the band. You can put out a zillion cool flyers for a crappy band and it won't do much. Put out a handful of flyers for a great show, and the word will spread.

We used to have Frank Kozik do posters sometimes. Those were good times!
