I do NOT flip the switch above the two pickups, it's almost like a tone knob but in switch form...
Flipped down it's more bass frequencies, in the middle is neutral, and flipped up I guess not necessarily treble boost but it does sound different. I just keep it in the middle position and prefer it that way.

I totally agree Quezo, I used to cut the neck beard off, not so much for appearance but because I couldn't handle the itching. After a week or so of toughing through it, I have no issues now and I'm glad I made the commitment not to shave.
