worst summer ever!
summer of 78 a guy friend of mine hand wrote the lyrics to Free Bird and gave them to a girl he was seeing. he showed me the letter. all cursive on lined school paper. i felt bad for her.

Subject: Free Dog to a Good Home - Please Help!
Body: My last girlfriend and I got a dog when the relationship was new. When we broke up, she kept the dog and I moved out. Yesterday, she informed me that she needs to get rid of him, and unless she can find a home for him, he is going to the pound. She offered the dog to me. Unfortunately, I cannot have pets where I am staying presently. So, I want to help find him a good home - I do not want him going to the Humane Society! His name is Boomer... he's a Terrier/Poodle mix and he weighs about 30 pounds. He is two years old and in good health. Here are some of his pictures:
He gets along fine with most other dogs - I would not recommend him if you have a cat.
