#1382635 Embarrassing Moments of your life that Haunt you to this day.

Posted by MichaelTheCrow on 16 May 2018 - 04:11 AM

Was 4 or 5 years old in kindergarden, had some song and dance thing where we all stood in a circle, several people got to dress up and act out their roles. Did not know the difference between a prince and princess so I kept insisting that I wanted to be the princess(it was the last role left and I never got picked for anything), instead of the teachers informing me that's a role meant for girls they handed me the dress and I got in it realising I had fucked up. Spent the whole time crying while everyone was singing or laughing at me. I learned the difference between the two after that, fun times.

#1380242 What happened to you at work today

Posted by MichaelTheCrow on 24 March 2018 - 04:20 AM

Had a Flat Earther withhold me from helping other customers for 45 minutes.

His reasons for his beliefs were as such: Not understanding that "north" and "south" are not "up" and "down". Apparently the Nile flowing into the Mediterranean shouldn't be possible because north is "uphill". Furthermore, "If the planet is travelling at like 1000 km/h, and my airplane is only travelling at 600, then how would I ever reach Mexico from here? It would be continuously getting farther away!" As if velocity can't accumulate between objects carrying other objects. Clearly, when jumping off a moving train, you would just stop in place and be perfectly safe, as if you had been standing there the whole time.

I got commendations around the entire building for dealing with that customer.

#1378372 Windows - a tribute thread to the worlds best operating system!

Posted by MichaelTheCrow on 20 February 2018 - 06:48 PM

Got a brand new laptop the other week, first time owning a system with the Win 10 OS. First thing I do is download chrome and I love how it tries several times to convince you to stick with Microsoft Edge. DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO DAD!

Some old obscure PC RPG I played the demo of as a kid, which eventually I tracked down and bought and it evidently sucked, lost my copy or gave it away.

I see the community here is still quite active with names I remember for 5+ years ago though :).

#1235636 What games are you playing now?

Posted by MichaelTheCrow on 14 November 2013 - 05:35 AM

I'm a little bit late but I've just started playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent, haven't really been into horror games until recently. Started doing gameplay videos actually *insert shameless self promotion here*. I have had difficulty speaking up to people and finding this is really helping with making myself more understandable and also finding it's also helping with my social anxiety. Thought maybe one or more of you might enjoy them, of course nothing overly exciting happens as I've only just started the game:

#1235319 The home recording thread

Posted by MichaelTheCrow on 11 November 2013 - 08:23 PM

No one else seemed to find any issues with the production other than it may be a bit too loud overall. I was actually thinking an arpeggio would be the right way to go, even have ideas to extend the outro, but for the length and what it'll be used for it's already enough. Thanks guys!

#1227431 TV Shows that make you yell at the TV

Posted by MichaelTheCrow on 02 September 2013 - 04:54 AM

X-Factor, my Mother watches it all the time and when the singer can't sing perfect pitch, puts on a mediocre performance and the crowd goes wild, then gets praised by the 'judges' I just want to throw that damned TV out the window. THIS IS NOT REAL MUSIC, just overproduced mainstream bullshit, make it on your own through sheer talent and not selling out for exposure takes a real musican.
