"Tom you ultra talented master guitarist, You better get aq better band, so you can afford a real guitar instead of that piece of shit korean crap. Ive worked with alot of talent and your not one of them as you can tell a real player by the guitar he has, and your $100 bargain is just a cheezy nightmare. God bless you for never coming into my store you looser prick, have a nice wet dream about success, cause thats all your goan have, wet dreams"
needless to say, this is hilarious. ALSO, i wouldn't recommend going in to this guy any longer...unless you like to get in fights.

I would assume that he worked on Jason Newsted's basses when he was in Flotsam and Jetsam and now he can mention Metallica by default.so wait, did he sell guitars to Metallica pre-black album, or post-black album? cus that make a huge difference on my opinion here...
He set up a bass for me several years back but it really wasn't worth the trouble/$, I spent less $ and was happier with the job that Jim at Musician's Discount did.
ROP basically had to sell a kidney to have a guitar refretted by Beck, and if I remember the story correctly, it wasn't that great of a job and pretty sloppy glue-wise. I'm pretty sure he did the work when Marty updated the p-ups in his Gibson too.
I have heard a lot of mixed reviews over the years(I'm sure the Lipferts can share a story or two as well). It used to be some kind of local "right of passage" to have him work on your stuff. I do know that he has turned people with Jap/Mex Fender products away in the past. The comments regarding a Korean instrument do not surprise me.

A couple years ago he let everyone who hates him know that he keeps a gun in his shop by "accidently" discharging it in his store. It went through the wall and hit a woman in the shop next door. She lived, luckily. True story. From what he says it sounds like he doesn't get punched in the face enough.

dude videotape or just tape it & share please.ahaha...the next time im in az, im going to take my steinberger to him and just have him restring it for me so i can see if he will call it a 'piece of korean crap'. that way i can say my guitar is a redneck guitar, and that he should probably like it. he'd probably say its a 'cheesy nightmare' though.

I should take a toy guitar in there and ask to see some hardware. I will be real demanding about it.
