even worse-

johnnys new place has no beer at all.

when we set up the show there on 9/6 i was under the impression the restaurant is byob, even tho they dont have a liquor license. to my surprise, byob in fancy restaurants like fate means there is a $5 corking fee for every bottle of wine and $1 for every beer. and you can only drink them inside, which is completeley isolated from the back patio where the bands are.

so its off to the alley behind modified once again.

Anybody can record with Steve Albini, alot of people think that you have to be the shit in order to record with him, all you really need is the cash.

I believe it's 800 dollars a day, or at least that is what the detachement kit paid to record with him.

If only I had 800 dollars

While they were playing we came back to the house and made a tape loop with us saying "Steve Albini" over & over, and we played that some during the set. Unfortunately the batteries on my hand held started to die so it just sounded like the slow peote voice....

I like the way the BM jumped in front of the VS. to play second. real professional. I thought the VS set was very cool. No mic was an interesting twist even if it wasn't on purpose.
