Our cat ate blue paint last week. Boy was that awesome! He hates the smell of coffee and tea but licked the side of a paint pot the first chance he got.

He is fine. We suffered more mental damage from that experience than him.

my cats and pug are like our children, an analogy that seems even more correct when you realize we care for them and try to keep them safe, but turn our backs for one minute and they are eating plastic bags or rocks

im actually a little worried that the pug may be retarded. im not joking

Our cat is supposed to be one of the smartest breeds but he definitely proved us wrong with that stunt! He's NEVER lunged for something so quickly. It took 3.5 seconds for him to knock over the paint and lick the container.

He also likes bananas:

Yesterday I was letting my one cat Easter chill in the small side yard by the kitchen door, and it was going just fine for about 20 minutes, then she comes barreling back in, runs into the other cat, and they're both screeching up a storm.
A really aggressive yard stray chased her in the house, and I had to run it back out.
Shouting at it and banging on the floor like wolf.
All 3 of us had mini heart attacks.
Easter was fine, but Rhubarb needed like 2 hours to calm back down.

He also likes bananas:

my cats hate fruit. they love turkey.

the pug (who i know doesnt count in this thread, but shut up, she is the size of the cat and basically counts) loves strawberries, apple slices, carrots and she will lick bananas and watermelon but not chew them. its adorable

As long as we're on the tangent of non-cat animals, my mom's dog, which is about the size of a large bobcat, loves carrots, but will ONLY eat them on the living room carpet. I was looking after her when she was recovering from getting spayed and my mom had to go to work, and she wouldn't eat her kibble but she would eat carrots, so I chopped up a carrot and mixed it with the kibble. She would pick out a piece of carrot from her bowl in the kitchen, walk into the living room and lie down to eat it, then get up and go back to the kitchen to get another piece. Repeated until the carrot was gone.

Pets are weird.

So the other day I'm walking up a little hill in the dark & I see something rummaging around in the street.  I think "hmm that must be a cat".  It slowly walks across the sidewalk I'm on.  As I pass by I looked at it & nope....it is a raccoon.  First time I've met a raccoon here.

Hey this thread is 10 years old.  Yikes.
