hey everyone!! I realize this is probably a reeeeediculous question, but is anyone in the market for a lovable new pet? I know it is a slim chance. This is a black and white cat with a big white mustache. Over the last 7 months or so Matt and I have been slowly socializing a feral cat that lives in our backyard. I have gotten him to the point where he will sit in my lap, purr, relax, make bread, and roll over for a tummy rub. He is REALLY an affectionate little guy when he gets relaxed. He is still VERY spooky though. He gets along well with small dogs and doesn't seem to have an aggressive bone in his body. We were planning on bringing him into our house but now we have a problem. He seems to be fine with our male cat but our female cat will not adjust. She tries to attack him every time she sees him, even through a crack in the door if she can. She is very aggressive and territorial. NOW Yardley, as we have been calling him, has been attacked by another animal outside. Something got him and bit him on the behind. I took him to my vet today and he had an abscessed rectum from the attack. My vet is treating the wound, neutering him, and vaccinating him. He will be all ready to move into a nice indoor home. I am really trying to find him a safe, permanent home. He is very loving but will need someone with a little patience to get through those first few weeks. He is still very scared of everything. Again, he gets along fine with other animals. (I think he loves Woofen more than we do. lol)

I don't want to sound like an asshole here, but we have invested a lot of time, money and affection on this cat and I really like him a lot. I am not interested in a home for him unless it is someone with a steady home situation, dependable, and with time to devote to socializing this cat.

Here are a couple of pics of him. One with my dog, and one a close-up of his face through our (very dirty) window.
Please let me know if you know anyone. I am picking him up at our vet tomorrow and would love a safe place to bring him.

hahaha, making muffins!! I love that. I will totally have to use that from now on. (We too are at the magic "three animals" stage, two cats and a dog. I have a feeling come tomorrow at this time it will be four.)

I was about to complain about a distinct lack of ninja kitty, but alas, that was 2008.

ace is a cutie pie of a doggy.

When I find myself in a home that has a backyard again I am so going to get a doggy and a pig. My kitties will be pissed but they will have to deal.
