I saw Shellac play at the Knitting Factory in L.A. a few years ago. I don't know if you've ever seen them live or not, but they have a Q & A session during their shows. So I raise my hand and Albini points to me and I proceed to ask him what in retrospect was an absolutely fucking retarded question. I had been reading a lot of stuff about drummers using click tracks to record with, so I asked if Shellac used a click track during recording. The Knitting Factory has a floor level and a mezzanine level, which is where I was. Albini said," That's it; no more questions from the upper level. Thanks a lot asshole you just ruined it for everyone." And they really refused to take questions from the upper level for the rest of the show. It was actually really funny; although I did feel like a huge douche. In all fairness, it was kind of a douchebag question. So I've got that going for me, which is nice...What did you do to deserve that?
