Weird Phoenix

Right now I am just trying to get a list of weird stuff in phoenix. so far I've got:
1 - that house on 7th street and the 1-10 exit that has all the weird sculptures in their yard
2 - that wizard wand thing on the scottsdale rd/frank loyd wright blvd intersection, 3 - the mystery castle
4 - the 51 highway with the teacups in the wall
5- that adult book/video store on Mcdowell west of Grand ave that is also a laundromat
6 - the mothball airfleet in goodyear
7 - the house of the future in ahwatukee (i've was told about this but have not seen it)
I realize that what is "weird" and what is "normal" is subjective, however i am just looking for the things (could be anything a house, a sign, a person, a park, a street name, a building, a car, a history, a restaurant etc etc etc) that one would not find on every street corner in every city in the US.
what are some weird things you can think of in Phoenix?????????????????????

downtown "Verrado" also in the far west valley is one of the creepiest places around.
I'll think on this, it's a great idea.

any of the Bill Johnson's Big Apple locations, particularly the old east Mesa and Van Buren restaurants.
the antique radio styled bus stops (also in the west valley - can't remember exact corners, but there's a few around)

how about the giant painted plywood baby, tractor, and other oddities on the north side of I-10 westbound toward buckeye?

Ditto on both.
I've always wanted to go up close and get pics of the baby, tractor, etc. but am afraid I'd end up shot by some hillbilly farmer.
And Verrado is just plain ol' creepy. Twilight Zone creepy. for reals.

the B-52s played at Verrado.....
How bizarre would that be?
what's left of VB is beautiful & kinda weird...
I mean, shit, Morrissey filmed a video there...

I've heard obnoxious radio commercials for Verrado, but I'm just now checking it out online. Looks like some serious Stepford Wives shit, even worse than Anthem, for rich assholes who want their lives to look like a detergent commercial.
I've been to every suburb/planned neighborhood within a couple hours of Phoenix as part of my old job - Verrado is by far creepier than any of them.

there is this house in my neighborhood i call the Mad Max house ..... a car and truck spraypainted black with skull and crossbones stickers on them sit (facing front) in the driveway, bars on the windows of the house, a bunch of 'no trespassing signs' on it. i have never seen anyone go or come from the place, but i imagine there might be a couple of scraggly dudes sitting in the living room in the dark with sawed off shotguns waiting for strangers to knock on the door.
cookin meth to boot.

There's a guy named Kermit Burger that lives by westwood high. It says so on his mail box I think.
