How anyone can make money playing original music in this town is beyond me. Worst business decision anyone could make IMO.

I've resorted to buying scalper tickets if I don't want to pay the exhorbitant ticket fees. I did this for the True Colors Tour with Cyndi Lauper and got 17th row for $60, which saved me about $30. Dodge Theater tix are always expensive.
I was pissed after I bought George Michael tickets at full price, and then Ticketmaster had a $25 ticket sale.
I'm going to wait from now on to get tickets for large shows, in case there's some kind of sale like that.
If you want to see Beck, he's playing Street Scene in San Diego. I got tix for $85 for the two day concert, which includes tons of good bands including Mgmt, Foals, The National, Spoon and Dengue Fever.
